If I have a product certified, does this certification apply for all products which are the same, or must each product be separately certified?

Compliance Expert Soufyan Lamdini explains

A product that is certified and produced in series in accordance with the certified product, as long as the products are the same the certification covers the entire series.

A product to which significant changes have been made with the intention of original operation, the original changes to the type of the product , may be considered a new product. In this case it be re-assessed and particularly the aim and purpose of the Directive and the type of products must be covered by the directive.

Products that are repaired (eg after a failure), without modifications to the original operation, the original intended purpose or the original type , according to the New Approach directives are not seen as new products.
